This course teaches the general principles of pediatric medical first aid emergencies, such as breathing problems, diabetes, seizures, shock, bleeding, burns, mouth and tooth injuries, bad allergic reactions, and relief of choking, as well as Adult/Child/Infant CPR with Mask and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator).
Optional: Pediatric First Aid Topics (eye injuries; fever; snake, poisonous spider, scorpion, tick, and marine animal bites; suspected abuse)

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Recommended for Healthcare Professionals
This course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of an AED(automated external defibrillator), and relief of obstructed airway. Students practice and complete various skills, including 2-rescuer scenarios and the use of a bag mask. Participants must pass a written exam and skills test.
